Just a regular Sunday night in Guelph 12/04/2011
Tonight (Sunday December 4 2011) in Guelph is one of those nights. You know, one of those nights that has so many live shows going on, it would be impossible to catch it all. One of those nights that make Guelph, well, Guelph. Kicking off the night tonight is Toronto's Sunparlour Players. They're touring their latest album Us Little Devils to great reviews. They're opening up for the one and only Sadies. If you've never seen the Sadies live, I highly, highly recommend. They are true wizards on the guitars. Their show will leave you in awe. The Sadies & Sunparlour Players play Van Gogh's tonight at 7:30. More information on Facebook. The other show of the night is Toronto singer-songwriter Emma-Lee. Emma-Lee has one of those rare voices that will stop you dead in your tracks, etch itself into your soul, and force you to reassess those matters of the heart. But her voice is just the bait; it’s her songs that hook you. Emma-Lee is opening the night for Toronto duo Whitehorse. Led by husband and wife Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, this band brings the two sizable individual talents in to one incredible band. They've been met with great reviews too. Whitehorse & Emma-Lee play The E-Bar tonight at 8:00. More information on Facebook. These are early shows tonight, so get out there and take in some great bands!
