A local initiative is afoot to bring CBC Radio's Q with Jian Ghomeshi show to Guelph for a live broadcast!

Guelph's Bry Webb (The Constantines, Harbourcoats) was featured on Friday November 25 on CBC Radio 1 Q with Jian Ghomeshi.  Webb plays songs from his latest solo effort Provider.

If you listened to our interview we did with Donovan Woods last week, (link here!) we mentioned that he would be performing his song My Cousin Has A Grey Cup Ring live on Sunday November 27 as part of TSN's live coverage of the 99th Grey Cup.
As it turns out, he will be interviewed as well as performing the song on Saturday November 26 as part of TSN's weekend long CFL coverage.  Coverage starts at 1PM.

Well, it's been a while since I've had a band-i-think-you-should-see type post.  Two great performers and song writers will be in Guelph this Friday.
New Brunswick Bluesman Matt Andersen and Nova Scotia banjo troubadour Old Man Luedecke will be playing the River Run Centre this Friday night.
Hopefully you're not saying "who the hell is Matt Andersen and what the H is a Luedecke!?"  (By the way it's pronounced Loo-de-ka.)
Andersen was my highlight of Hillside 2010, including toping my list of best 2010 performances.  Ole Man Luedecke was one of my highlights at this years Hillside. 
If you love live performances, blues music, banjos & and your mind being blown, get some tickets to this show.  As of this writing (Wednesday November 9) there are still plenty of tickets left, including a couple of singles in the front row!
